BY TERAPIA CON ANDYFor parents of toddlers 18–36 months who say few words
Everyone says “wait and see.” Here’s what to do while you wait.
One short game a day. The exact words to say. And a simple pause that gives your toddler room to respond.
The Magic Pause Play Kit brings together Andy’s Little Talkers 30-day program, 100 printable picture cards and two practical guides—so you can start at home today, without planning the activities yourself.

When “just wait” doesn’t tell you what to do
You want to help. You just want someone to show you how.
Maybe your little one points, brings you things or takes your hand—and you’re trying to work out what they mean.
Maybe you’ve heard “they’ll catch up.” Or you’re waiting for an appointment and wondering what you can do in the meantime.
You’ve read the tips. Talk more. Read books. Play together. But when you sit down on the floor, you still have the same question:
“What do I actually say—and what do I do next?”
The habit behind the kit
Say less. Wait a little longer. Notice their response.
It’s easy to fill every silence when you’re trying to help. This program shows you where to pause instead—and how to respond to a look, a reach, a sound or a word.
1. Get face to face
Join their play at eye level, with something they already enjoy.
2. Use a few words
Say something short and useful: “Bubbles!” or “Ready, set…”
3. Pause and respond
Wait 5–10 seconds. Respond to their attempt and keep the game going.
A look, a gesture, a sound or a word can all be ways to respond. There’s no need to insist on “say it.”
An actual page from the program
This is what “knowing what to do” looks like.
Day 5 uses a bottle of bubbles. You get what you need, the script, a short explanation, an “Avoid” tip and a place to record what you notice.
Day 5 · Bubbles
- Blow bubbles and comment: “Bubbles! Pop! Big bubbles!”
- Stop with the wand near your mouth and wait 5–10 seconds.
- Any attempt → “More! More bubbles!” and blow right away.
- No attempt → model it once: “More?” and blow anyway.
You don’t have to make your toddler repeat a word to continue the game.

The plan, the play materials and the reminders—all together.
Each part has a job: help you choose what to do, give you something to play with, remind you of the moves and help other caregivers join in.
Little Talkers · 30-Day Play Program
30 illustrated activities in a 44-page PDF. Each day includes the words to say, what to avoid and a quick log. A progress diary and “My child’s words” page help you keep track.
100 First Words · Illustrated Cards
100 printable picture cards plus six games: point and name, choices, finding real objects, feeding the teddy, hide and seek and a card of the day.
The Talk-Time Cheat Sheet
One page with the three moves and ten everyday phrases. Keep it on the fridge for the moments when you don’t want to open the whole program.
The Caregiver Guide
Four pages to share with grandparents, sitters or teachers. Includes simple everyday examples and a page you can fill in with the words and routines you’re using.
All four PDFs are included. The cards are part of your $29 purchase.
Ready to use in the small moments you already share.
Something to point to and play with
Print a few cards your toddler already knows or loves. Start with 5–10, then add more little by little. The six games show you how to use them together.

A reminder when the day gets busy
The Cheat Sheet keeps phrases like “More?”, “Help! Open!” and “Your turn!” within easy reach. The Caregiver Guide helps you share the same approach.

A clear plan, with room to repeat
You’ll know what to open tomorrow, too.
- Week 1 · Connection and attention. Join their play with copying, peekaboo, bubbles and song pauses.
- Week 2 · Imitation and requesting. Use choices, familiar games and playful chances to ask for help.
- Week 3 · First words in daily routines. Bring a few repeated words into meals, bath time, dressing and books.
- Week 4 · More words and first combinations. Model the next small step when your child is ready.
This is a 30-day plan, not a deadline for your child. Repeat favorite games. If single words haven’t arrived, keep using the earlier activities. The program tells you to follow your child’s pace.
Look inside before you decide.

“This program turns those moments into practice. One short game a day, with the exact words to say and, just as important, when to stop talking and wait.”

From the welcome letter in Little Talkers.
The kit gives you a plan for the moments you share at home. You can use it alongside professional support.
Start with one page and one familiar toy.
Open Day 1
Read what you need and the short script. You can use the program on your phone or tablet.
Play for 10–15 minutes
Follow their interest. If they’re tired or upset, stop and try again later.
Write one line
Note a look, a gesture, a sound or a word. It doesn’t have to be a new word to be worth noticing.
No special toys to buy. Printing the cards is optional; the daily program uses everyday play materials.
Is this the right starting point?
The Play Kit is designed for toddlers 18–36 months at the early communication and first-word stage. It’s for parents who want a simple home play routine and clear examples of what to say.
If your child already uses single words and you mainly want to work on combinations, From Words to Sentences is the separate Level 2 program for children around 2–4 years. It isn’t included in this kit.
This is educational content, not a diagnosis, treatment plan or replacement for an evaluation or speech therapy. If you’re concerned about your child’s communication or hearing, speak with your pediatrician. You don’t need to finish this program before asking for help.

A few things you might be wondering.
My toddler isn’t saying any words yet. Where do we start?
Start with Week 1: joining their play, copying, taking turns and noticing looks, gestures and sounds. The program doesn’t require your child to repeat words. If you’re concerned about their development, seek professional advice alongside home play.
Will my child be talking by Day 30?
There’s no promised number of words or deadline. The 30 days give you a play plan to follow and repeat. Children respond at different paces; the logs help you notice communication in different forms.
What if we’re already waiting for an evaluation?
You can use the games at home while continuing with the evaluation process. The kit doesn’t replace professional support or suggest you postpone an appointment.
Do I need to print everything?
No. Read the program and guides on your phone, tablet or computer. Print the cards if you want physical play materials, and any logs or reminders you’d like to write on.
Do I need special toys or lots of time?
No special toys are required. Activities use things like bubbles, a ball, a cup, a blanket, books and everyday routines. Plan for about 10–15 minutes a day and keep it flexible.
Are the 100 cards included in the $29?
Yes. You receive the daily program, 100 First Words with six games, the Cheat Sheet and the Caregiver Guide. There’s no extra charge for the cards.
Can grandparents or a sitter use this too?
The Caregiver Guide is designed for the people caring for your child. Fill in the words and routines you’re using, then share that guide with them.
What if my child is already combining words?
This kit focuses on early communication and first words. Level 2, From Words to Sentences, is a separate program for children around 2–4 years who already use single words. Choose activities that fit your child’s current stage.
How do I receive the kit?
After purchase, you’ll receive a link to download the four PDFs. These are digital files; no printed books or cards will be mailed.
What if it isn’t useful for our family?
